Francine Wade

Location: Colorado Springs

Crew Positions: Correspondent, Camera lady, Guest Wrangler, Floor Assistant

Talent: I've done some work as an extra on a commericial, and spent three-plus years in a church/high school theater club. Right now, I'm looking to learn as much knowledge about acting and the world of film. Eventually, I would like to be a part of theaterical performances along with working on any kind of awesome indie film.

Genre: I love all the genres that the film world has to offer but my favorite genre is horror films or horror/comedy films. I'm also interested in reporting for In the Loop, reading and writing original short stories, as well as short stories on my favorite TV shows.

To contact Francine, e-mail us to Attention: Fran to crew@intheloop-cofilm.com.

topDear Film Fans and Industry Friends,

In the Loop is transitioning to our new, 30-minute format in March with some fun and educational shows featuring film festivals and more Colorado filmmakers. We are also airing new shows more frequently at a new day and time, every Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m, on Comcast Channel 56, in addition to our usual online access at www.denveropenmedia.org.

On March 3, we will premier our 12th episode featuring the Colorado Short Circuit Invitational Film Series from Colorado Springs and the filmmakers' panel from the Boulder International Film Festival. In the Loop Cameraman Steve Wash interviewed the Short Circuit organizers on January 27, and we were able to get a couple clips from the festival films to show. Later, on February 13, In the Loop Correspondent Carri Wilbanks interviewed filmmakers from the Boulder festival.

On March 17, our coverage of the Boulder International Film Festival ties up with the Digital Media Conference coverage. An exciting addition to the festival this year, creative types from the film and digital media industries shared their ideas and expertise with us.

To finish out the month, on March 31, we will bring you unique interviews with Colorado's documentary filmmakers, nominated for Academy Awards this year. "The Cove" by Louie Psihoyos and his crew is in the running in the feature documentary category at the March 7 Oscars, while "The Last Campaign of Governor Booth" is up for an Oscar in the short documentary category. Look for these exciting interviews and a few extra surprises in our final show of our first year on the air.

Watch Episode 12 on TV in Denver or online at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 3 and 10, or anytime from our In the Loop web page.

liveinaprilGoing Live in April!

To celebrate our first anniversary of In the Loop, our second year of shows will begin on April 14 with our new, 30-minute live show format. Be looking for new, original segments including a comedy break and filmmaker discussions of industry topics, including "Should Colorado be an other Hollywood?" We will also share a clip from a great short film by Jamin and Kiowa Winans at Double Edge Films.

The next shows are scheduled for April 28, May 12 and May 26. As always, we love it when filmmakers send us information about their work, so we can plan to include their trailers and interviews in upcoming shows. Plus, we will now be recruiting comedic actors to join us in the studio for our fun, new comedy breaks. To inform us of your projects or learn more about participating in our shows, e-mail Producer Tanya Ishikawa at Tanya@intheloop-cofilm.com.
